Our ADHD and Autism Services
Our core work is the comprehensive assessment of children and young people for ADHD and autism.
All assessments are conducted by fully qualified medical doctors and carried out in line with current NICE guidelines. This ensures our reports are robust, evidence-based, and recognised by the NHS and schools.
Our Medical Director and Registered Manager, Dr Harry Woodward, has nearly 20 years of experience assessing children and young people for ADHD and autism. He provides clinical oversight across all cases, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and care.
Neurodevelopmental differences often run in families, and children do not exist in isolation.
Where appropriate, we also offer ADHD and autism assessments for parents or close relatives of a child we have assessed. This helps us build a clearer understanding of the family’s neurodevelopmental profile and provide more informed, practical guidance.
These adult assessments form part of a joined-up, family-centred approach — they are not a standalone adult diagnostic service.
Our priority remains the child, supported by a full understanding of the family around them.
Child ADHD and Autism Services
We provide three core neurodevelopmental assessments for children: ADHD assessments, autism assessments, and combined ADHD and autism assessments. In addition, we offer follow-up appointments and, where appropriate, medical treatment and prescribing as part of ongoing care.

Child ADHD Assessment
A comprehensive assessment exploring attention, impulsivity, emotional regulation, and executive functioning, using clinical interviews, questionnaires, and evidence from home and school.

Child Autism Assessment
A detailed developmental assessment focusing on communication, social interaction, sensory processing, and behaviour, informed by clinical observation, history, and structured tools.

Combined ADHD and Autism Assessment
An integrated assessment for children showing overlapping traits of ADHD and autism, providing clarity where profiles are complex and ensuring nothing is missed.
Child ADHD assessment steps
Step 1 / Book your child in for an assessment
ADHD can only be diagnosed from age 5. You can book an ADHD assessment by clicking here. A thorough assessment is the first step to understanding your child’s needs and determining the most appropriate support or treatment.
Step 2 / Complete the questionnaires
After booking, you’ll receive an email with secure links to two or three questionnaires:
-
one for you to complete as a parent or guardian,
-
one for your child’s teacher, and
-
one for children aged 8 and above, a short questionnaire for your child to complete (with versions tailored for ages 8–10 and 11+).
These help your clinician build a clear picture of your child’s strengths, challenges, and day-to-day functioning.
All questionnaires must be completed and submitted before the assessment appointment. We therefore recommend allowing enough time when booking, particularly to ensure your child’s teacher has time to respond.
Simply click the secure links, answer the multiple-choice questions, and submit. We are happy to contact your child’s teacher on your behalf if helpful.
Step 3 / The ADHD assessment
You and your child will attend a 75-90-minute online video assessment with a Specialist Clinician. The session is relaxed and conversational, focusing on your child’s experiences and symptoms. There is no pressure on your child, and any difficulties answering questions are completely normal. Treatment options will also be discussed.
Step 4 / Receive your child’s report
Within 5 working days of the assessment, you’ll receive a detailed report by email.
This will include the diagnosis outcome (including ADHD type, if applicable), an explanation of the findings, recommended treatment options, and information pack outlining next steps.
Step 5 / Choose your child’s treatment option
If your child is diagnosed with ADHD, you can let us know how you’d like to proceed and we’ll take care of the arrangements.
Where medication is chosen, your clinician will issue a prescription and our partner pharmacy will deliver it directly to your home.

ADHD Medication
If your child receives a diagnosis of ADHD and you choose to include medication as part of the treatment plan, your clinician will guide you through this process step by step. Prescriptions are issued by your clinician and sent to our partner pharmacy, who will deliver the medication directly to your home.
When considering medication, there are two separate costs to be aware of:
-
Medication review appointments
-
The cost of the medication itself
Medication review appointments: £195 per appointment
(Please note: these appointments do not include the cost of the medication.)
Medication costs
The monthly cost of ADHD medication typically ranges from £100–£200, depending on the medication prescribed and manufacturer pricing.
Your clinician will discuss all options with you so you can make an informed decision that feels right for you and your family. Medication is always optional and carefully considered as part of a wider support plan.
Child Autism assessment steps
Our autism assessments follow a very similar pathway to our ADHD assessments, with two key differences in Steps 2 and 3:
-
In Step 2, the questionnaires are specific to autism.
-
In Step 3, autism assessments require two clinical appointments rather than one. When booking online, you will book the first appointment only. The second appointment will be arranged directly with you after the initial consultation.
Step 1 / Book your child in for an assessment
Autism can only be diagnosed from about age 3 but we can accept referrals from 2.5 years old. You can book an autism assessment by clicking here.
Step 3 / The autism assessment
You and your child attend a 75–90 minute video assessment with a Specialist Clinician. The session is relaxed and conversational, focusing on your child’s developmental history and current presentation. There is no pressure, and any difficulty answering questions is completely normal.
Autism assessments require a second 45–60 minute appointment with a different Specialist Clinician, who carries out structured observational tasks using the ADOS framework (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule). This allows standardised observation of communication and social interaction.
Using two clinicians strengthens clinical robustness and supports recognition by the NHS and schools.
Step 4 / Receive your child’s report
Within 5 working days of the assessment, you’ll receive a detailed report by email.
This will include the diagnosis outcome (including autism type, if applicable), an explanation of the findings.
Step 5 / Choose your child’s next steps
If your child is diagnosed with autism, we will discuss the outcome with you and outline the next steps.
There are no medication treatments for autism itself. However, we will guide you through a range of evidence-based support pathways tailored to your child’s needs. These may include educational strategies, therapeutic interventions, and practical adjustments at home and school to support your child’s development.
We remain available to help you plan the most appropriate and realistic next steps for your family.
Adult ADHD and autism assessments
How are adult ADHD and autism assessments different to child assessments?
Adult assessments for ADHD or autism follows the same steps as child assessments. The only difference is in the questionnaires completed before your appointment.
Only two questionnaires are needed. You’ll be asked to:
-
complete one questionnaire yourself, and
-
have a second questionnaire completed by a family member or someone close to you who has known you well over time.
This helps your clinician gain a broader understanding of your lifelong ADHD traits.
